Capable of 997lb of torque based on shock factor of 3.5 and a top RPM of 7927 (146mph) with a 3:90 rear. These 3.5 aluminum single piece shaft's will be a direct bolt on system, no changing the rear flange or worries about the crush collor. Bolt and go !!! 1310 shaft for 550hp. We have been looking at the GTO platform for some time and have realized that most shafts for the car require the rear flange to removed from the diff, The problem with this is that the rear is a crush collar type (between the pinion bearings there is a collar) and the preload on the nut sets the pinion depth to make sure the rear gears have the proper engagement. What we have done is made a 7075-T6 Aluminum flange that will bolt directly to the 3 finger flange on the rear ( same style we make for the 1000HP Supra shafts), This eliminates the need to bring the car to a professional to have the shaft installed. Just unbolt the factory 2 piece shaft,change the seat belt bolt then put ours in and go. Being we have made the plate 1" long this makes the shaft a little shorter than most and enables the shaft to obtain higher RPM's. Changing the shaft in this car is perhaps one of the most noticeable performance enhancements you can do. Not only is it lighter but the factory hanger bearing moves up and down violently when the car is being driven hard, this action is not only dangerous but robs the drive train of power. When installed the car will have a more responsive throttle and feel smoother overall. We make the shaft in 2 styles one for 600HP and the other for 1000HP.
