Kevin Brueggeman's 1989 Formula
In January of 2009, Hawks Third Generation started on a build that would soon be the baddest Formula roaming around the Houston, TX area.
The car came in with a 383ci T5 drivetrain. Kevin wanted to keep the car in it's original black color but make it more sinister & definitely fast.
We started with a stock LS1 T56 drivetrain. We installed a custom camshaft & of course all the necessary components to make the LSX engine work in the 3rd Gen. We topped it off with a Magnacharger TVS 1900 Supercharger & a customer cold air intake kit. The exhaust is a set of our LSX Conversion 1-3/4" headers with a custom y-pipe and Mufflex 4" exhaust.
Suspension consists of all the goodies. BMR Lower Control Arms, Subframe Connectors, Panhard Bar, Xtreme Torque Arm Kit, Hotchkis 1” Springs, Spohn Extreme Duty Driveshaft, & Moser 9” Rear with a 3.73 gear & true trac posi.
The interior was upgraded with new carpet and Corbeau custom upholstered TRS seats and a custom sound system.
Boze Boost 18x9 fronts & 18x10 rear wheels & Nitto tires were added to get this beast rolling.
Of course a ton of other goodies were added to finish the complete job along with new custom paint.
